Neuromarketing is a field of study that combines research from neuroscience, behavioral economics and social psychology and applies it to marketing.
The field had a bit of pop in the late noughts as a potential form of sorcery that pressed the "buy" buttons in peoples brains, but when it became obvious that it wasn't capable of such manipulation, interest in it cooled.
Which I find to be a shame, because it's still an endlessly fascinating field of study, and one that's still extremely useful to know and easily applicable to problems that businesses face today.
I hope to elaborate on this in the future here, such as a glossary of useful terms and concepts, and books and what my opinions are on them.
